DATES AND PLACE OF HEARING:
6 March 1985                 Hobart
20 March 1985               Hobart

At the proceedings before the Commission on 6 March 1985, I was advised that further discussions regarding the Union's claim had been set down for the following week and an adjournment was requested and granted.

At the resumption of proceedings on 20 March 1985, the parties advised that agreement had been reached to vary the Award as follows:-

(1) Increase the First aid allowance from $3.90 to $4.20.

(2) Increase the Risdon Tradesmen's Special Allowance from $4.80 to $5.30.

It was also agreed that both variations should be operative from the first pay period to commence on or after 1 October 1984.

The parties also submitted that the agreement could be processed in accordance with the Wage Fixation Principles.

I too am of that opinion and I have also had regard for the statutory requirements of the Industrial Relations Act 1984 in arriving at my decision that the award will be varied as requested by the parties. An order reflecting that agreement is an attachment to this decision.
