DATE AND PLACE OF HEARING:

18 April 1990                Hobart

In this matter the Federated Miscellaneous Workers Union of Australia, Tasmanian Branch (the FMWU) requested, pursuant to Section 65A(1) of the Industrial Relations Act 1984, the deletion of the Welfare and Voluntary Agencies Award from its certificate of registration.

The background to this matter has been extensively canvassed in matters T.661 and T.662 of 1987. Further references are made in matter T.2353 of 1990.

Having regard to the provisions of Section 63(10(c) of the Act I am satisfied that in the circumstances the FMWU no longer has an interest in the Welfare and Voluntary Agencies Award.

A copy of this determination has been forwarded to the Registrar for his attention in accordance with Section 65A(6) of the Act.

The order, operative from the date of this decision is attached.
