IN THE TASMANIAN INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION

Industrial Relations Act 1984

TP2/1 and TP2/2 IN THE MATTER OF AN OBJECTION BY THE TASMANIAN CONFEDERATION OF INDUSTRIES TO THE GRANTING OF AWARD INTEREST TO THE TFGA INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION

RE: BUTTER AND CHEESEMAKERS AWARD AND DAIRYMENS AWARD

ACTING PRESIDENT HOBART, 9 March 1990

REASONS FOR DECISION

APPEARANCES:

For the Tasmanian Confederation
of Industries
- Mr W J Fitzgerald

For the TFGA Industrial Association - Mr K. Rice

DATE AND PLACE OF HEARING:

4 May 1990                   Hobart

Both of these matters concern an objection by the Tasmanian Confederation of Industries (TCI) to the TFGA Industrial Association being granted an award interest in both the Butter and Cheesemakers Award and the Dairymens Award.

The two matters were conveniently joined at a hearing on 4 May 1990, when the parties requested and were granted an adjournment.

On the 12 June the TCI notified the Commission that it wished to formally withdraw its objections in respect of both matters and accordingly the TFGA Industrial Association is granted an interest in both awards as from 12 June 1990.

Orders are attached.

Files are returned to the Registrar.
