TASMANIAN INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION

Industrial Relations Act 1984
s.23 application for award or variation of award

Association of Draughting, Supervisory and Technical Employees,
Tasmanian Branch

(T.2954 of 1991)

ELECTROLYTIC ZINC AWARD

COMMISSIONER R.K. GOZZI

HOBART, 8 April 1991

Award variation

REASONS FOR DECISION

In this matter the Association of Draughting, Supervisory and Technical Employees, Tasmanian Branch (ADSTE) sought the variation of the Electrolytic Zinc Award to delete references to "Tradesperson" and include in lieu "Trades/Technical Person".

The Trades/Technical Person classification title was raised by Mr Baker in the structural efficiency proceedings conducted in matter T.2692 of 1990. This classification title was consented to by Pasminco Metals-EZ in the transcript of those proceedings but was inadvertently omitted from the draft order submitted to the Commission in that matter.

Accordingly this application by ADSTE was to correct that oversight.

In the circumstances the award will be varied as requested by the applicant operative 19 October 1990.

The order is attached.
