COMMISSIONER R.K. GOZZI

HOBART, 3 October 1991

State Wage Case August 1991 - 2.5% increase

REASONS FOR DECISION

In this matter the Federated Clerks Union of Australia, Tasmanian Branch, sought the consent variation of the Textile Award to reflect the increase in wage rates and work-related allowances as set out in the 13 August 1991 State Wage Case decision.

The parties addressed the requirements of paragraphs (a) to (g) of Principle 2 - Structural Efficiency. Having regard to the submissions of the parties on those issues I concluded that the pre-conditions set out in the foregoing Principle had been satisfied. In the circumstances the award will the varied operative from the first full pay period to commence on or after 8 November 1991.

The order is attached.
