Federated Clerks Union of Australia
Tasmanian Branch
(T.4052 of 1992)

WELFARE AND VOLUNTARY AGENCIES AWARD

COMMISSIONER R K GOZZI

HOBART, 2 November 1992

Minimum rates adjustment

REASONS FOR DECISION

These applications by the Health Services Union of Australia, Tasmania No 1 Branch (HSUA) and the Federated Clerks Union of Australia, Tasmanian Branch) which were joined for hearing purposes, sought the second instalment Minimum Rates Adjustment (MRA) in accordance with the Agreement of the parties in matters T.2706 and T.3785 of 1992.

I was informed by the parties that the variation requested to be made was by consent. Ms Harvey appearing for the HSUA submitted that the parties had previously reached agreement on the phasing of the MRAs in 5 x 6 monthly instalment and that this application was in accord with that arrangement; and is as set out in Appendix B of the Award.

Mrs Dowd for the FCU supported the submissions of the HSUA as did Mr Sertori for the Tasmanian Confederation of Industries.

In the circumstances the award will be varied as set out in the draft order, Exhibit H1 and Appendix B of the Award, operative from the first full pay period to commence on or after 29 November 1992.

The order is attached.
