(T.4075 of 1992)

TASMANIAN AMBULANCE SERVICE AWARD

COMMISSIONER R K GOZZI

HOBART, 20 November 1992

Award variation - CPI movement in nominated expense allowances

REASONS FOR DECISION

In this matter the Tasmanian Ambulance Employees' Association of Tasmania made application for the variation of expense related allowances in Clause 9 (e), (f), (g), and (j) (i) and (viii) of the Tasmanian Ambulance Service Award.

Those nominated allowances were requested to be adjusted by the increase in the Consumer Price Index (Weighted Average - Eight Capital Cities) for the 4 quarters ended March 1992.

These adjustments, supported by the Minister Administering the Tasmanian State Service Act, are undertaken on a regular basis in accordance with a pre determined formula endorsed previously by a Full Bench of this Commission.

Accordingly and having regard to the Allowances Wage Fixing Principle, the foregoing expense related allowances will be varied by 1.7 per cent operative from the first full pay period to commence on or after 19 November 1992.

The order is attached.
