REASONS FOR DECISION

In this matter the Australian Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union, Tasmanian Branch, sought the variation of the Laundry and Dry Cleaning Award to reflect the fourth minimum rates adjustment. The effect of this final adjustment is to bring about the relativities previously agreed to in relation to the Tradesperson's rate. The agreed relativities were Grade 1 - 80%; Grade 2 - 85%; Grade 3 - 91% and Grade 4 - 95%.

The variation requested to be made is in accordance with the Wage Fixing Principles. Accordingly it is endorsed operative from the first pay period to commence on or after 5 February 1993.
