Award variation - clause 6 - parties and persons bound - change of name

REASONS FOR DECISION

These applications were made by the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union, Tasmanian Branch (the CFMEU) for the purpose of changing the name of the Construction Forestry and Mining Employees Union, Tasmanian Branch appearing Clause 6 - Parties and Persons Bound of the Building and Construction Industry Award, the Monumental Masons Award and the Building Trades Award.

Mr Clifford appearing for the CFMEU produced correspondence from the Registrar of this Commission (Exhibit C1) acknowledging the change of name.

I am satisfied that the CFMEU has changed its name and that name will be reflected in the three awards being the subject of these applications and I I decide accordingly.

The Orders giving effect to this decision are attached and will be operative from 5 February 1993.
