Rescission of award - University of Tasmania

REASONS FOR DECISION

This application made on the motion of the Commission pursuant to Section 32(7A) of the Act was to rescind the University of Tasmania General Staff Award on the basis that the award became redundant consequential to the variation of the Federal Higher Education General and Salaries Staff (Interim) Award 19891 (ODN C No 2187 of 1988). The effect of this variation was to provide federal award coverage for employees who were previously subject to the University of Tasmania General Staff Award.

In the circumstances the University of Tasmania General Staff Award was rescinded operative from 26 April 1993.

The order is attached.
