Wigmakers and Hairworkers Employees' Federation
(T.4476 of 1993)

HAIRDRESSERS AWARD

PRESIDENT F. D. WESTWOOD

24 AUGUST 1993

Award variation - Parties and Persons Bound clause

REASONS FOR DECISION

This application, lodged on 27 July 1993 by the Tasmanian Branch of the Australian Hairdressers, Wigmakers and Hairworkers Employees' Federation, an organisation whose registration subsequently was cancelled given its amalgamation with the Shop Distributive and Allied Employees' Association, sought to vary the parties and persons bound clause to reflect properly the title of the new organisation.

Mr Noonan, for the Shop Distributive and Allied Employees' Association, Tasmanian Branch, informed the Commission of the Registrar's decision dated 2 August 1993 (TR.455 of 1933)¶ which dealt with the amalgamation and submitted that the award should be varied in the manner sought with effect from the date of hearing this application. No other parties attended the hearing.

In the circumstances the award will be so varied. The appropriate order is attached.
