REASONS FOR DECISION

This is an application for amalgamation pursuant to Section 67A of the Act lodged jointly by the Health Services Union of Australia, Tasmania No. 1 Branch, and The Ambulance Employees' Association of Tasmania.

After hearing the applicants I am satisfied that the requirements of Section 67A(2)(a) and (b) have been met and accordingly the application is granted and the amalgamated organisation is registered effective from 1 July 1993.

In accordance with the requirements of Section 67 the registration of The Ambulance Employees' Association of Tasmania is cancelled and a certificate of registration in the name of the Health Services Union of Australia, Tasmania No. 1 Branch will issue bearing the names of those awards in which the organisations that have amalgamated formerly held an interest.
