REASONS FOR DECISION

This application made by The AWU-FIME Amalgamated Union, Tasmania Branch sought to vary the Fish, Aquaculture and Marine Products Award by deleting Clauses 30 and 42 - Right of Entry and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

"Right of entry for a duly accredited representative of The AWU-FIME Amalgamated Union, Tasmania Branch shall be in accordance with the provisions of Section 77 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984."

It was stated by the applicant that the variation was consistent with the amendments made to the Industrial Relations Act 1984.

The application was not opposed by any party to the award.

Decision

The award will be varied in the manner sought by the applicant as it is consistent with the requirements of the Act.

The Order giving effect to this decision will follow in due course and will be operative from 2 March 1994.
