HOBART, 04 May 1995

Award variation - superannuation exemption for Pilkington (Australia) Operations Limited

REASONS FOR DECISION

The Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (TCCI) sought the variation of Clause 35 (d) Superannuation - Exemption of the Clerical and Administrative Employees (Private Sector) Award to provide for the Pilkington (Australia) Superannuation Scheme (the Pilkington Scheme)

Mr Watson for the TCCI satisfied the Commission, as required by Section 32 (1 B) of the Act, that the Pilkington Scheme was a complying fund and that it met the wishes of employees (Exhibit W1). The proposed variation was supported by Mrs Dowd for the Australian Municipal Administrative and Clerical Services Union.

In the circumstances the award will be varied in the manner requested operative from 3 May 1995. The order is attached.
