Rescission of award - variation of award - applications approved – operative date 15/1/11

REASONS FOR DECISION

These applications seek the following:

• The rescission of the Inland Fisheries Commission Award;

• The insertion of a new Appendix 13 in the Tasmanian State Service Award. This appendix effectively replaces the Inland Fisheries Service (IFS) Industrial Agreement 2002 from which the parties are about to retire.

Mr Johnston consented to the applications.

I am satisfied the applications are consistent with the public interest requirements of the Act.  Both parties (Community and Public Sector Union (State Public Services Federation Tasmania) Inc. and the Minister administering the State Service Act 2000) to the award were consulted.

The applications are granted operative from 15 January 2011.
