Award variation - delete all reference to the FCU and ASU following amalgamation - insert in lieu AMACSU - consent matter - awards varied operative 25 August 1993 REASONS FOR DECISION These applications, lodged pursuant to section 23 of the Act by the Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union (the union), were for the purpose of deleting all reference to the Federated Clerks Union of Australia, Tasmanian Branch (the FCU) and the Australian Municipal, Transport, Energy, Water, Ports, Community and Information Services Union Tasmanian Branch (the ASU) in the awards previously listed. Mrs Dowd, for the union, tendered an exhibit (AMACSU 2) being a decision of the Registrar of the Commission (TR.456 of 1993) which cancelled the registration of the FCU and the ASU and stated "... a certificate of registration in the name of the Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union will be issued bearing the names of those awards in which both of the deregistered organisations formerly held an interest." We are satisfied that the awards named in the application should be varied in the manner sought by the union and will be operative from 25 August 1993. The Orders arising out of this decision will be drawn by the members of the Commission, who have within their assignments, the awards to be varied arising out of these applications.
