The Federal Government introduced new industrial laws known as "WorkChoices" on Monday 27 March 2006.
Employees who are employed by a Constitutional Corporation may no longer be covered by the Industrial Relations Act 1984 (Tasmania).

The Tasmanian Industrial Registry will accept applications that are lodged in accordance with the Industrial Relations Act 1984.
