TASMANIAN INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION Industrial Relations Act 1984 Health Services Union of Australia MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES (PRIVATE SECTOR) AWARD
Wage rates - State Wage November 1989 - second minimum rates adjustment - Principles satisfied - consent matter - application granted - award varied - ffpp 29 October 1993 REASONS FOR DECISION On 19 May, 1993, the Commission handed down a decision arising out of application T.3524 of 1991, which determined wage rates and conditions of employment for employees falling within the scope of the Medical Diagnostic Services (Private Sector) Award. The wage rates agreed to during the course of that hearing contained the first minimum rates adjustment and the parties foreshadowed that a further three (3) applications would be made every six (6) months in order to complete the minimum rates adjustment process. This current application, for the second minimum rates adjustment, comes before the Commission as a consent matter and conforms with the Wage Fixing Principles and the Public Interest requirements of the Act and the agreed plan of action to phase in the minimum rates adjustments. That being the case the award will be varied in the manner sought by the parties, i.e. from the first full pay period to commence on or after 29 October, being six months from the first minimum rates adjustment on 29 April, 1993. The Order arising out of this application is attached.
