s.23 application for award or variation of award

Federated Liquor and Allied Industries Employees' Union of Australia -
Tasmanian Branch

(T.3980 of 1992)

HOTELS, RESORTS, HOSPITALITY AND MOTELS AWARD

DEPUTY PRESIDENT A. ROBINSON

HOBART, 7 July 1992

Second Minimum Rates Adjustment - Division B - Motels

REASONS FOR DECISION

This matter concerns an application by the Federated Liquor and Allied Industries Employees' Union of Australia - Tasmanian Branch to vary the Hotels, Resorts, Hospitality and Motels Award by increasing wage rates in Division B by the second minimum rates adjustment.

The matter is one of consent and follows the granting of the first minimum rates adjustment six months earlier based upon the establishment of proper relativities and in conformity with Wage Fixation Principles adopted by the Commission in State Wage Case1 proceedings.

On the evidence before me public interest would not be offended by approving the present application.

For these reasons the application is granted and the award will be varied in a manner consistent with the common exhibit agreed to by the parties.

Date of Operation:

This variation shall come into operation as from the beginning of the first full pay period to commence on or after 1 July 1992.

The Order [Correction Order] is attached.
