This consent matter concerns the inclusion of Higher Duties and more Responsible Duties provisions in the Governor of Tasmania Staff Award (the Award).

The application for variation, made by the Tasmanian Public Service Association (the Association) arises as a consequence of a Full Bench decisions which determined the subject matter of this application in the terms sought by the Association in this case.

In the circumstances, as the Award refers back to the General Conditions of Service Award, reference to Higher Duties and More Responsible Duties allowances will be included as item 8 in Clause 9 of the Award.

The Order, operative from the date of this decision will be issue in due course.
