This application by the Tasmanian Confederation of Industries is for the variation of the Broadcasting and Television Award to include "exemption" provisions from the nominated fund, TASPLAN, in clause 19 - Occupational Superannuation.

Mr Abey in a detailed submission satisfied the Commission that Tasmanian Television New Town, Southern Cross Network Launceston and 7HO Commercial Broadcasters Pty Ltd Hobart should be exempted from TASPLAN in favour of continuing to make appropriate contributions to their respective funds.

The order, operative from the beginning of the first pay period to commence on or after 1 August 1989 is attached.
