Industrial Relations Act 1984
s.23 application for award or variation of award

Federated Liquor and Allied Industries Employees' Union of Australia
Tasmanian Branch

(T.2727 of 1990)

RESTAURANT KEEPERS AWARD

DEPUTY PRESIDENT

HOBART 24 October 1990

Superannuation

REASONS FOR DECISION

Application has been made by the Federated Liquor and Allied Industries Employees' Union of Australia, Tasmanian Branch (the FLAIEU) to vary the Restaurant Keepers Award.

The variations sought go to the question of amending existing provisions relating to "time and wages records" and "superannuation". However such variations are necessary only as a means of enabling cross-referencing between these previously determined subjects which are intended to have application in four separate divisions of the same award. Thus the matter is not one of substance, although of course important.

Rather the present exercise may be categorised as one of tidying up.

In such circumstances the current variation is granted in the manner sought.
