TR427
IN THE TASMANIAN INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION Industrial Relations Act 1984
An application for the registration of the Salaried Pharmacists' Association (Tasmania Branch) was lodged on 11 July 1990. Following the serving of statutory notices pursuant to Section 63(2)(a) of the Act a notice of objection to the registration of the abovenamed was lodged by the Federated Miscellaneous Workers Union of Australia, Tasmanian Branch. As a consequence of undertakings given by the Salaried Pharmacists' Association (Tasmania Branch) during a hearing convened for the purpose of determining the objection on 17 August 1990, I was formally advised by the Federated Miscellaneous Workers Union of Australia, Tasmanian Branch, that they had withdrawn their objection. The terms of the undertakings given by the Salaried Pharmacists' Association (Tasmania Branch) are attached to the file on this matter. Mr P. Gysslink, appearing as Federal President of the applicant body, was then able to satisfy the requirements for registration specified in Section 63(3) of the Act and indicated that should his application be successful then an interest would be sought in the Chemists Award which provided the award coverage sought by members of the applicant. Accordingly the application is now granted and a certificate of registration will be issued pursuant to Section 64(1) of the Act following the determination by a Commissioner of award interest. |
