Imposition of bans at North West Regional Hospital (Mersey Division)

REASONS FOR DECISION

This application was made in the following terms:

"An application by the Minister Administering the Tasmanian State Service Act 1984 for the hearing of an industrial dispute pursuant to Section 29 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984, re the imposition of bans by the Hospital Employees Federation at North West Regional Hospital (Mersey Division)."

After the parties presented preliminary submissions the hearing proceeded by way of private conference, at the conclusion of which the Commission made a 6 point recommendation to the parties. The hearing was adjourned sine die to enable the Union to place the recommendations before it's members.
