(T.3218 of 1991)

and

Minister administering the Tasmanian State Service Act 1984

DEPUTY PRESIDENT A ROBINSON

HOBART, 8 October 1991

Payment of District Allowance

REASONS FOR DECISION

This dispute concerns a refusal by the Department of Primary Industry to pay an employee stationed at Flinders Island the District Allowance which is contained in Clause 8, "Allowances", of the General Conditions of Service Award.

"Reasons for Decision" were issued on 4 September 1991 and the terms of settlement required that:

1. The Tasmanian Public Service Association make application to vary the award, and

2. The employee concerned be paid the District Allowance.

The file was kept open pending the fulfilment of both of those conditions of settlement.

At a further brief hearing on 3 October It was confirmed that the dispute had been settled in the required manner.

Accordingly this file is now closed.
