State Wage Case August 1991 - 2.5% increase - granted REASONS FOR DECISION These applications by The Australian Workers' Union, Tasmania Branch the Electrical Trades Union of Australia, Tasmanian Branch, The Federated Engine Drivers' and Firemen's Association of Australasia, Tasmanian Branch and the Metals and Engineering Workers' Union sought the variation of the Pasminco Rosebery (Mining) Award by increasing wage rates and work-related allowances by 2.5% as determined in the 13 August 1991 State Wage Case decision1. The Commission was satisfied, following agreement by the parties on the inclusion in the award of consultative mechanisms and a work as directed provision, that all of the pre-conditions for the increase had been complied with as set out in paragraphs (a) to (g) of Principle 2 - Structural Efficiency. Accordingly the award will be varied operative from the first pay period to commence on or after 6 September 1991. The parties should note that the "consultative" clause will be included in the award as a new Clause 13. The Contract of Employment Clause will be amended to reflect work as directed requirements. All other consequential renumbering of clauses will also be incorporated in the attached order.
