LAUNDRY AND DRY CLEANING AWARD

Award variation - deletion of Division D - Clerks

REASONS FOR DECISION

In this matter the Federated Clerks Union of Australia, Tasmanian Branch (FCU) sought the consent variation of the Laundry and Dry Cleaning Award by deleting all references to the FCU.

The removal of the FCU from the award is supported by the Commission. It should be noted that as a consequence of the decision in this matter the FCU should now take the necessary steps in accordance with the provisions of Section 65A of the Industrial Relations Act 1984 to have their certificate of registration amended.

The order giving effect to the deletion of all references to the FCU in the award, operative from the date of this decision, is attached.
