TASMANIAN INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION

Industrial Relations Act 1984
s.23 application for award or variation of award

Federated Liquor and Allied Industries Employees' Union of Australia
Tasmanian Branch

(T.3416 of 1991)

LICENSED CLUBS AWARD

DEPUTY PRESIDENT A ROBINSON

HOBART 10 October 1991

State Wage Case - increase wage rates and work related allowances by 2.5% and structural efficiency provisions

REASONS FOR DECISION

This matter concerns an application to vary the Licensed Clubs Award by increasing wage rates and work related allowances by 2.5%; the correction of certain errors contained in second structural efficiency proposals put before the Commission earlier; and the inclusion of structural efficiency transitional provisions.

The matter is one of consent and the parties have demonstrated to the Commission's satisfaction that each of the requirements of the "Structural Efficiency" Principle', items (a) to (g) inclusive have been properly addressed.

I am similarly satisfied that to grant the application would be consistent with public interest criteria specified by Section 36 of the Act.

For these reasons the application is granted and the award will be varied accordingly.

Date of Effect

The foregoing amendments shall take effect from the first full pay period to commence on or after 8 October 1991.

Orders will follow.
