Industrial Relations Act 1984
s.23 application for award or variation of award

Federated Clerks Union of Australia,
Tasmanian Branch

(T.3541 of 1991)

BROADCASTING AND TELEVISION AWARD

COMMISSIONER R.K. GOZZI

HOBART, 10 December 1991

2.5% increase to wage rates and allowances

REASONS FOR DECISION

In this matter the Federated Clerks Union of Australia, Tasmanian Branch, (FCU) sought the variation of the Broadcasting and Television Award in respect of the 2.5 per cent 13 August 1991 State Wage Case decision.

Ms H. Dowd appearing for the FCU submitted that the award had been tested against Principle 2 - Structural Efficiency, paragraphs (a) to (g). I was referred to my Reasons for Decision1 in matter T.3480 of 1991 which was issued in respect of the second instalment structural efficiency adjustment where all of the matters comprehended by Principle 2 - Structural Efficiency were incorporated in the award, albeit that the classification structure has not been settled at this stage.

Apart from that the second instalment structural efficiency exercise2 provided for more flexible working arrangements and included facilitative provisions.

Having regard to what has transpired in this award, I endorse the consent variation operative from the first full pay period to commence on or after 20 January 1992.

The order is attached.
