s.23 application to vary an award

The Federated Miscellaneous Workers Union of Australia,
Tasmanian Branch
(T.3660 of 1992)

CLEANING AND PROPERTY SERVICES AWARD

COMMISSIONER P A IMLACH

24 February 19922

Wage rates - minimum rates adjustment

REASONS FOR DECISION

This was an application for the third Minimum Rates Adjustment (MRA) to be applied to the Cleaning and Property Services Award (the Award).

The MRA process was commenced in this Award through matter T.2851 of 1990 and continued in matter T.3237 of 1991. This application merely seeks to take the process one step further as set out clearly in the decision in the former matter.

The Tasmanian Confederation of Industries supported the application, but at the time of the hearing, indicated there was some confusion as to the correct amounts of the increases involved and that has only recently been settled between the parties.

The Award will be amended as agreed operative from the first full pay period commencing on or after 5 February 1992.

An order is attached.
