Industrial Relations Act 1984
s.23 application for award or award variation

Shop Distributive and Allied Employees' Association
Tasmanian Branch

(T.3737 of 1992)

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS AWARD
POULTRY AND GAME PRODUCTS PROCESSING AWARD

COMMISSION R J WATLING

7 April 1992

Award variation - removal of Shop Distributive and Allied Employees' Association, Tasmanian Branch from Cause 6 - Parties and Persons Bound

REASONS FOR DECISION

This application, which was amended at the commencement of the hearing, was made by the Shop Distributive and Allied Employees' Association, Tasmanian Branch (the union) for the purpose of deleting the union from the Parties and Persons Bound clause of the Electrical Engineers Award and the Poultry and Game Products Processing Award.

In its decision of 31 March 1992 the Commission varied the Electrical Engineers Award by deleting all reference to Wholesale Sellers of Electrical Goods from the award and included provisions covering such activities in the Wholesale Trades Award.

The orders arising out of application T.3683 of 1992 also saw the deletion of Division C - Employees Engaged in the Selling of Fish, Game and Poultry from the Poultry and Game Products Award (now known as the Poultry and Game Products Processing Award and previously the Poultry, Game and Marine Products Award).

The sellers of fish, game and marine products will now be covered by the Retail Trades Award.

Given the above it is now no longer necessary for the Shop Distributive and Allied Employees' Association, Tasmanian Branch to be listed in Clause 6 Parties and Persons Bound in the Electrical Engineers Award or the Poultry and Game Products Processing Award and I decide accordingly.

The orders arising out of this decision are attached and operative on and from 7 April 1992.
