Industrial Relations Act 1984
s.23 application for an award or variation of an award

Federated Liquor and Allied Industries Employees' Union of Australia -
Tasmanian Branch

(T.3852 of 1992)

RESTAURANT KEEPERS AWARD

DEPUTY PRESIDENT A ROBINSON

HOBART 7 July 1992

Third Minimum Rates Adjustment

REASONS FOR DECISION

This matter concerns an application by the Federated Liquor and Allied Industries Employees Union of Australia - Tasmanian Branch to vary the Restaurant Keepers Award by increasing wage rates in Sections A, B and C by the third minimum rates adjustment.

The matter is one of consent and follows the granting of the second minimum rates adjustment six months earlier, based upon the establishment of proper relativities and in conformity with Wage Fixation Principles adopted by the Commission in State Wage Case1 proceedings.

On the evidence before me public interest would not be offended by approving the present application.

For these reasons the application is granted and the award' will be varied in a manner consistent with the common exhibit agreed to by the parties.

Date of Operation

This variation shall come into operation as from the beginning of the first full pay period to commence on or after 1 July 1992.
