(T.3898 of 1992)

CHILD CARE AND CHILDRENS SERVICES AWARD

COMMISSIONER R K GOZZI

HOBART, 7 August 1992

Wage rates - State Wage November 1989 - Structural Efficiency Principle - second minimum rates adjustment - FFPP 8 August 1992

REASONS FOR DECISION

In this matter The Federated Miscellaneous Workers Union of Australia, Tasmanian Branch, sought the variation of the Childcare and Childrens Services Award to give effect to the second minimum rates adjustment.

The adjustments are in accordance with the schedule provided by the parties in T.3008 of 1991.

The variations as requested to be made and as set out in Exhibit OB1 are endorsed operative from the first pay period to commence on or after 8 August 1992.

A consequential variation is necessarily made to Junior Rates (Trained Juniors) as these are tied, on a percentage basis, to the 1st year rate for a Children's Services Worker Level 3. As this classification is subject to a minimum rates adjustment as a result of this decision the Trained Junior (2 year trained) rates will alter.

The order is attached.
