(T.3899 of 1992)

CLEANING AND PROPERTY SERVICES AWARD

COMMISSIONER P A IMLACH

5 August 1992

Wage rates - Minimum Rates Adjustment - fourth increase

REASONS FOR DECISION

This was an application by The Federated Miscellaneous Workers Union of Australia, Tasmanian Branch (the Union) for the fourth Minimum Rates Adjustment (MRA) to be implemented in the Cleaning and Property Services Award (the Award).

The MRA process was commenced in the Award in matter T2851 of 1991 and continued in matters T3172 and T3237 of 1991.

This application merely seeks to take the process one step further as set out clearly in the decision in the original matter.

The Union sought for this fourth MRA to commence from the first full pay period to commence on or after 5 August 1992, six months after the commencement of the third MRA.

The Tasmanian Confederation of Industries confirmed its consent to the application and the operative date.

The Award will be amended, as agreed, operative from the first full pay period commencing on or after 5 August 1992.

An order is attached.
