(T.4094 of 1992)

PRINTERS AWARD

COMMISSIONER P A IMLACH

17 December 1992

Award variation - deletion of Clause 14 - Experience - Clause 24 Superannuation delete the words "including the amount prescribed- in Clause 8 - Wage Rates Division B - Clerks subclause 4 additional payments" insert in lieu thereof in subclause b the words "as prescribed in Clause 8 Division B and include" after "classification rate" - consent matter award varied - operative on and from 10 December 1992

REASONS FOR DECISION

This was an application by the Federated Clerks Union of Australia, Tasmanian Branch (the FCU) for amendments to be made to the Printers Award (the Award).

In its submissions the FCU advised that all the amendments sought were necessary corrections following the changes made to the Award under the Structural Efficiency Principle: they had been overlooked by the parties at the time.

The Printing and Kindred Industries Union, Tasmanian Branch endorsed the application and the Tasmanian Chamber of Industries and the Printing and Allied Trades Employers' Federation of Australia, Tasmanian Region did not oppose the amendments sought.

I accept that the corrections sought are just that and they ought to be made. The awzrd will be amended operative from the 10th December, 1992.

An order is attached.
