Fourth minimum rates adjustment

                            REASONS FOR DECISION

This matter concerns an application by the Australian Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union - Tasmanian Branch, to vary the Restaurant Keepers Award in respect of the fourth minimum rates adjustment.

The matter is one of consent and finalises a process which is in conformity with the requirements of the Wage Fixing Principles of this Commission.

I am also satisfied that to grant the application would be consistent with public interest criteria.

Accordingly it is my decision to grant the application and vary the award accordingly.

Operative Date

The operative date of the foregoing amendment shall be the first full pay period to commence on or after 1 January 1993.
