TASMANIAN INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION Industrial Relations Act 1984 Metals and Engineering Workers' Union ELECTROLYTIC ZINC AWARD
Variation of award - alteration to union title due to amalgamation REASONS FOR DECISION Following the amalgamation of the Metals and Engineering Workers' Union and the Vehicle Builders Employees Federation of Australia, Victorian Branch, the Registrar effected the name change of the Metals and Engineering Workers' Union to the Automotive Metals and Engineering Union effective from 5 April 1993. Accordingly the Automotive Metals and Engineering Union sought the variation of the Electrolytic Zinc Award to delete from the "Parties and Persons Bound" clause of that award reference to the Metals and Engineering Workers' Union and including in lieu thereof the Automotive Metals and Engineering Union. This consequential variation to the award is granted operative from 20 April 1993. The order is attached.
