Award variation - fourth minimum rates adjustment

REASONS FOR DECISION

These applications, joined for hearing purposes, by the Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union and the Health Services Union of Australia, Tasmania No. 1 Branch, were for the implementation of the fourth minimum rates adjustment (MRA) for employees subject to Divisions A and B of the Welfare and Voluntary Agencies Award.

This MRA adjustment is in accordance with the schedule of minimum rates adjustments endorsed by the Commission in matters T.2706 of 1990 and T.3785 of 1992 and reflected in award No. 2 of 1992 (Consolidated). The draft order submitted by Mr Sertori, appearing for the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited, reflected those particular MRA adjustments and is endorsed operative from the first full pay period to commence on or after 29 November 1993.

The order is attached.
