COMMISSIONER R.K. GOZZI

HOBART, 23 March 1994

Award variation - second minimum rates adjustment

REASONS FOR DECISION

This application by the Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union (AMACSU) was for the variation of the Estate Agents Award to include the second minimum rates adjustment (MRA).

Mrs Dowd for AMACSU informed the Commission that this MRA adjustment was in accord with the schedule in Appendix A of the award which was included as a consequence of structural efficiency and award modernisation proceedings in matter T.4051 of 1993.

The variation was supported by Mr Clues appearing for the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited.

Having regard to the foregoing the variation as requested is endorsed in the terms set out in the draft order provided by Mrs Dowd.

The order, operative from the first full pay period to commence on or after 1 April 1994, is attached.
