COMMISSIONER R J WATLING

Award variation - expense related allowance - incidental expenses - Principles satisfied - consent matter - award varied - ffpp 21 November 1994

REASONS FOR DECISION

This is an application made by the The Australasian Meat Industry Employees Union, Tasmanian Branch to increase the rate in Clause 29 - Incidental Expenses contained in the Meat Trades Award.

The applicant sought to increase the rate from 19 cents to 38 cents per kilometre.

The representatives of the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited and the Meat and Allied Trades Federation of Australia, Tasmanian Region supported the application.

This consent application deals with an increase in an expense related allowance and, as such, is consistent with the Wage Fixing Principles, therefore the award will be varied in the manner sought by the parties and be operative from the first full pay period to commence on or after 21 November 1994.

An Order giving effect to this decision is attached.
