REASONS FOR DECISION

This was an application by the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union, Tasmanian Branch (the Union) for a variation to be made to the Roadmakers Award (the Award).

The Union reminded the Commission of the history of this matter and the recent decision1 of a full bench of the Commission upholding on appeal a decision2 by the then Commissioner R K Gozzi granting the Union an interest in the Award.

The Union formally requested the Commission to add its name to the Parties and Persons Bound clause of the Award.

This application is granted and the Award will be amended as requested commencing 17 November 1995.

An order is attached.
