REASONS FOR DECISION

This application was lodged by The AWU-FIME Amalgamated Union, Tasmania Branch (now The Australian Workers' Union, Tasmania Branch), (the applicant), pursuant to section 29 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984, for the purpose of settling a dispute between the applicant and Tassal Ltd in relation to workplace issues.

The matter came on for hearing on 11 April 1994. After hearing preliminary submissions the matter was adjourned sine die to enable private discussions to take place between the parties.

In correspondence dated 12 September 1995 the Commission was advised by the applicant that they did not wish to proceed with this matter.

That being the case and as there was nothing for the Commission to determine the file is now closed.
