Industrial dispute - alleged failure by employer to make superannuation payments into award nominated fund for nominated employee

REASONS FOR DECISION

This application was lodged by the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association, Tasmanian Branch pursuant to section 29 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984, for the purpose of settling a dispute with Tiger Superbarn, Sandy Bay.

The dispute concerned the alleged failure by the employer to make superannuation payments into the Tasplan fund for a nominated employee.

No appearance was made by the employer at the hearing. After hearing preliminary submissions from Ms Dooley, representing the applicant, the hearing was adjourned.

Subsequently, by letter dated 15 April, the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees' Association withdrew the application.

Accordingly the file is closed.
