Award variation - name change - delete all reference to the Meat and Allied Trades Federation of Australia (Tasmanian Division) - insert National Meat Association of Australia (Tasmanian Division) - applications granted - awards varied - operative date 3 June 1996

REASONS FOR DECISION

These applications, lodged by National Meat Association of Australia (Tasmanian Division) (the applicant), were for the purpose of varying the Abattoirs Award, the Meat Trades Award and the Meat Industry Award, by changing the name of the organisation in each of those awards respectively.

On 8 May 1996 the Registrar of the Commission approved an application to amend the rules of the Meat and Allied Trades Federation of Australia (Tasmanian Division). This resulted in a new Certificate of Registration being issued under the name of National Meat Association of Australia (Tasmanian Division).

That being the case, it is appropriate that this name be reflected in the Abattoirs Award, the Meat Trades Award and the Meat Industry Award respectively, and I decide accordingly.

The Orders giving effect to this decision are attached, which will be operative on and from 3 June 1996.
