REASONS FOR DECISION

This was an application by the Australian Education Union, Tasmanian Branch (the Union) for a variation to be made to the Technical Employees Award (the Award).

The Union advised the Commission that following an agreement with The Community and Public Sector Union (State Public Services Federation Tasmania) in matter T5144 of 1994 it was granted an interest in the Award. Also the Union's certificate of registration had been amended to include the name of the Award.

On the basis of the foregoing the Union formally requested the Commission to add its name to Clause 6 - Award Interest and Parties Bound, of the Award.

This application is granted and the Award will be amended as requested commencing 11 July 1996.

An order is attached.
