TASMANIAN INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION

Industrial Relations Act 1984
s.23 application for award or variation of award

The Salaried Pharmacists' Association (Tasmania Branch)
(T6475 of 1996)

PHOTOGRAPHIC INDUSTRY AWARD

COMMISSIONER R J WATLING

HOBART, 19 September 1996

Award variation - parties and persons bound - deletion of The Salaried Pharmacists' Association - consent matter - application granted - award varied - operative date 18 September 1996

REASONS FOR DECISION

This application, lodged by The Salaried Pharmacists' Association (Tasmania Branch) (the applicant), was for the purpose of varying the Photographic Industry Award to delete all reference appearing therein to the applicant, and specifically Clause 6 - Parties and Persons Bound.

The Commission was informed by Mr Pyrke, that the applicant no longer had an interest in the award as it had no members employed in the industry falling within the scope of the Photographic Industry Award (previously the Chemists Award).

Mr Pyrke said that the applicant had also made application (T6453 of 1996) pursuant to s.65A of the Act, to have its interest in the award deleted from its Certificate of Registration.

I am satisfied that the applicant no longer has an interest in the Photographic Industry Award. Therefore the award will be varied in the manner sought. The Order giving effect to this decision is attached.
