s23 application for award or variation of award

Minister for Public Sector Administration
(T6587 of 1996)

INLAND FISHERIES COMMISSION AWARD

COMMISSIONER P A IMLACH

5 November 1996

Award variation - translation wording amended- employer definition added - consent matter - application approved - operative 7 Mar 96

REASONS FOR DECISION

This was an application by the Minister for Public Sector Administration (the Minister) for a variation to be made to the Inland Fisheries Commission Award (the Award).

The variation, which was required to correct certain errors in a previous variation, sought to insert into the Award a definition of employer which had been omitted and to change the terminology of the translation clause which had been worded deficiently.

Because of the reasons for the variation the Minister requested that the date of operation be that of the original variation, on and from 7 March 1996.

The Community and Public Sector Union (State Public Services Federation Tasmania) agreed with the proposed variation and operative date and supported the application.

I am satisfied that the granting of this application is not against the Guidelines of the Commission and is in the public interest.

The Award will be varied as sought on and from 7 March 1996.

An order is attached.
