COMMUNITY SERVICES AWARD

COMMISSIONER R J WATLING

HOBART, 26 November 1996

Award variation - travelling and motor vehicle expenses - consent matter - application granted - award varied - operative ffpp 20 November 1996

REASONS FOR DECISION

This amended application was lodged by the Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union (the applicant) for the purpose of varying Clause 31 - Travelling and Motor Vehicle Expenses, contained in the Community Services Award.

This application comes before the Commission as a matter of consent.

The parties agreed that the allowance will be varied by the movement in the Consumer Price Index - Transportation - Private Motoring Subgroup - Hobart from the June quarter 1994 to and including the September quarter 1996. The parties also indicated that it was their intention to make application on an annual basis to have this allowance varied by the upward movement in the previously mentioned index.

The application is consistent with the Wage Fixing Principles relating to movement in allowances and as a result it will be endorsed by the Commission and be operative the first full pay period to commence on or after 20 November 1996.

An Order giving effect to this decision is attached.
