s.23 application for an award or variation of an award

Australian Workers' Union, Tasmania Branch
(T9374 of 2001)

SILVICULTURE AND AFFORESTATION AWARD

PRESIDENT P L LEARY

HOBART, 22 February 2001

Award variation - Classification descriptors - amenities - application approved - award varied - operative date 1 January 2001

REASONS FOR DECISION

This is an application by the Australian Workers Union to vary, by consent, the Silviculture and Afforestation Award.

The variations clarify the meaning and intent, as agreed between the parties, of Part VIIII - Occupational Health and Safety, Tools, and Amenities, Clause 4, and insert into Part III, Clause 2 classification descriptors incorrectly placed when the award document was finalised.

The consent variation amends errors identified in the published new award and are to take effect from 1 January, 2001.
