Award variation - wage rates - second Minimum Rate Adjustment - Principle 2 - consent application - application granted - award varied - operative date ffpp 11 June 2001

REASONS FOR DECISION

On 11 May 2001, an application was lodged with the Commission, pursuant to s.23 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984, by the Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union (the applicant), to vary the Barristers and Solicitors Award (the award) by inserting the second Minimum Rate Adjustment.

The award will be varied in the manner set out in the draft Order attached to the application, with the operative effect from the first full pay period to commence on or after 11 June 2001.
